VAP Studio helps brands and content creators with video production

During my apprenticeship at Studio9P, under the supervision of the creative director, I designed the mockups, user experience (UX), motion design and 3D for the website of VAP Studio, a video production studio for content creators and brands. The art direction was led by the team at Studio OUAM: building on their visual world, I handled the entire web design, from the page architecture down to the smallest interface details.

To make the site move like a video, I designed the animations for every interaction and micro-interaction, then detailed them to convey my motion design intentions precisely to the developer Clario Cadran, who built almost the entire site, partly in Webflow. I also created all the 3D assets in Spline: modelling, texturing and animation. All of this adds up to a site packed with easter eggs that pops, snaps and shines (just the way we like it).

The site is built around warped chrome 3D letters that form the VAP logotype, a shiny liquid metal on a black background lifted with green. Every page showcases the studio's videos and its brand collaborations, such as the one with RC Lens: big headlines, full-screen visuals and touches of 3D, designed for desktop and mobile alike.

The project received an Honorable Mention on Awwwards and was featured by Muzli and MaxiBestOf: recognition for a site where UX/UI web design, motion design and Spline 3D work together.
