Search Tra is an app concept that recognises artworks photographed in museums

Search Tra is a mobile app concept that recognises artworks photographed in museums. This search engine analyses the works captured by its users over their visits and gradually builds a personal library. I came up with the concept, the user experience (UX) and the mobile interface design (UI).

The journey fits in a single gesture: point, photograph, understand. The camera becomes the gateway to each artwork's story; its page gathers the essentials (artist, date, dimensions) and some context, before joining the collection.

The clean interface, made of blurred backgrounds and understated colours, picks up the hues of each painting to step back behind the work, from Dalí's The Persistence of Memory to Friedrich's Wanderer above the Sea of Fog. A warm atmosphere that invites you to grow your collection, and so keep museums alive.
